Perform with GTG
Anyone can audition for a GTG production.
Principal and ensemble performers are equally as important in our productions.
We only cast people who can give full commitment to rehearsals and have the passion and energy to deliver a great performance.
Principal performers are cast according to their ability and skills, as well as experience and looks.
We usually cast people of all ages for the ensemble, although not all productions suit children below the age of 14.
We stage our productions at the Ben Travers Theatre, Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey. It is a professionally run theatre with audience seating for approximately 240.
Rehearsals are every Monday and Wednesday evening and some Sundays for musicals and Christmas shows - and every Tuesday and Thursday evening and some Sundays for our autumn plays.
Anyone performing in a GTG production pays a 12 month membership fee, even if they are only in one production that year. The fee covers insurance whilst rehearsing and performing, as well as other member benefits.
Membership Fees:
Adult - £20
Family - £30
Under 16 / student / over 60 - £10.
Performers also pay a Show Fee. The rate is set according to the cost of the production and is used to offset expenses for such things as rehearsals.
There may be a hire charge for scripts and vocal parts as well.
There are plenty of other jobs to do in a GTG production - such as scenery construction and painting, stage crew, lighting or sound crew, costumes, props, make-up, child chaperones. Anyone is welcome. Contact us to find out more.
